From the Windsor Star – May 8, 1954

Out of the ashes of one of the largest fires Windsor has ever seen has arisen the most modern paint manufacturing company in Canada. The Rinshed-Mason Company, renamed following the fire, to succeed the old Standard Paint and Varnish Company, was rebuilt and formally reopened exactly one year to the day following an early morning explosion that rocked Windsor on May 7, 1953.

This plant is still there and still standing and in use as BASF Windsor.
